Katastrophe
Boids, developed by Craig Reynolds in 1986, is an artificial life program, simulating the flocking behaviour of birds.
Katastrophe is written in C++ and implements the pseudo code found at the website of Conrad Parker. It uses the Irrlicht engine for 3D graphics and irrKlang for 3D sound.
It started as an entry for the Irrlicht in Motion Competition in 2008. The complete list of entries with downloads and videos is here.
